Description

United States Army Calvary insignia pin. The United States Cavalry was the designation of the mounted force of the United States Army from the late 18th to the early 20th century. Brass-colored. Design is the United States eagle emblem with the United States Calvary "Crossed Sabers" below and the letters "U.S" at the bottom. Pin hardware is attached to back. Attached to a United States Calvary card mount (2016.11.76) with another United States Calvary pin (2016.11.75). United Staes eagle emblem description: Above the bald eagle is a circle of stars (like fireworks), with a banner/scroll below the stars that says "E PLURIBUS UNUM." At the center of the eagle is the American flag shield. The eagle holds an olive branch in its left talons and a group of arrows in its left.
