Photo postcard with a black-and-white photo of a cottage at Camp Mokan in Independence, Missouri. The white frame building has a shingle roof canopy over the door and windows with awnings flanking the entry. The stoop is one step up from the ground and a shrub is next to the left corner (photo right). A caption, "Cottage at Camp Mokan, Independence, MO" is printed along the bottom edge. The camp straddles the line between Independence and Kansas City, Missouri and the address is Kansas City.
The back of the postcard has the publisher's information printed vertically, creating a separation between the correspondence and address sections. The text reads: "Artvue Post Card Co., 225 Fifth....N.Y.". The company logo is printed in the center along the bottom edge. Artvue Postcard Company was known for producing black and white postcards in the 1950s despite the growing demand for color photograph postcards.Acquisition
