Postcard with a sepia toned photo of Brigadier Mary J. (Casley) Sheppard. She is posed with her right arm crossed in front and her left hand clasping the right wrist. Her uniform sleeve has intricate braiding, indicating her rank. She has a Salvation Army brooch at the throat of her bodice which appears to have the crest on it and is wearing metal framed eyeglasses.
The back of the postcard is stamped with the name Walter Studios with all of its locations in New York City and in New Jersey. The publisher, CYKO, is printed in the stamp box. A white label is pasted to the back with a typed note "Mary Sheppard, Mrs, Lt. Colonel, Supt. Detroit Womens Home & Hosp 130 W Grand Blvd September 17, 1930".Acquisition
