Postcard with a sepia toned photo of Brigadier Mary J. (Casley) Sheppard. She is posed with her right arm crossed in front and her left hand clasping the right wrist. Her uniform sleeve has intricate braiding, indicating her rank. Mary has a Salvation Army brooch at the throat of her bodice which appears to have the crest on it.
The back of the postcard is stamped with the name Walter Studios with all of its locations in New York City and in New Jersey. The publisher, CYKO, is printed in the stamp box. There is also a red Editorial Department stamp with "Recd April 18 1921 Answered" in the center printed on the back.
