Description
Olive drab green wool skirt. Skirt closes on the left hip with three snaps and two hook and eyes set into a placket, waist lined with white cotton tape with metal stays woven in every 6 inches. Skirt has three inverted pleats, one each along both side seams and one at center back. The edges of all fabric pannels have been left raw and pressed open. The hem is bound with a silky feeling brown twill tape, it is then folded up and sewn into place.
Style and construction are consistent with skirts worn by Salvation Army WWI War Service Workers as part of their formal uniform.
