Postcard. A color lithograph, created from a black and white photo of the Streator, Illinois corps building. The sky and clouds are colored while the building appears to be black and white. The brick building has a crenellated rooftop and entrance doors to the left and right sides. Each door is topped by a stained glass window. The caption, "Salvation Army Citadel", is printed in black on a band of white below the image.
The back of the postcard has a message from Lt. Young (Minnie) addressed to Captain Schasse (Agnes) in Rockford, Illinois. Young notifies Schasse of her arrival in Streator and requests that her trunk and other things be sent to her new address. The postmark is faded and is almost illegible. The postage stamp is a green 1¢ George Washington issue.Acquisition
