Description

"Trench Art". Artillery casing carved with floral motif and engraved/carved with the text "1914/ SOUVENIR/ 1918" at the center of the piece inside a shield. Cyclindrical. Most likely made of brass. On the top of the casing numbers are stamped 75 DEC (GUSC) and C 169 L 17 C 1 The shell was produced in 1917 for the French Army 75 mm M1897 field gun.
