2016.11.28Description
Black and white photograph of The Salvation Army (TSA) corps women and officers with knitting and quilt. Officers are in TSA uniforms and remaining women are in dresses or skirts/blouses, some with wearing hats and aprons aprons. Women in front row hold knitting materials and cloth and women in back row are holding up a quilt. About 15 women total, standing outside in front of a building (a corps?) that has large windows along its front. White curtains hang in the bottom half of the windows. There is a sign in the furthest left window that is partially legible (brownish/greyish sign with white lettering): "The Salvat___/ Family & ____/ -BUREAU___/ UP STAIRS.
Printed in blue ink on back of photograph is teh number "2 7" and a logo. Logo is hard to read. Maybe: "Fhegg" or "Ghegg" or "Gregg". "Ma" Burdick is likely the woman standing in the first row, second from the left.Acquisition
