Red stand-up tunic (jacket) with black braid trim and zippered front features white and gold pins that read " N.I.Y. Band" (Northern Illinois Youth Band) on the blue epaulettes. The collar features blue patches but are missing coordinating pins. The lining is a textured black and the inner pocket features two initial patches in black and gold with the letters, "P." and "C." [G.]
