10,520 - DEPRESSION 1929 CHURCH ENVELOPES, NUMBER 25Description
10,520 - DEPRESSION 1929 CHURCH STORY ENVELOPES, NUMBER 25 ISSUE.
This complete box of unique artifact church offering envelopes was produced during the Great Depression. Uniquely designed, each small envelope was perforated down the middle allowing the small envelope to serve as 2 separate coin deposit envelopes about the size of 1 and a half inches each. Once separated, gifts enclosed were designated for the church itself and for missions (others).
Produced by the Duplex Envelope System, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, Duplex was one of the founders and early leaders of offering envelope systems for local churches. Local churches could purchase complete boxes of 52 envelopes to give to their parishioners and members. These envelopes were numbered 1 through 52 for the giving weeks in a year.Collection
