1961 – C POSTER: I WILL BE FAITHFUL CAMPAIGN (SBC) This artifact is a large, rare brown and ivory color campaign poster. At the outset of the 1960's, the Southern Baptist Convention commenced campaigns that were directly intended to meet the heart and soul of members of The Southern Baptist Convention. The "I will be faithful" campaign poster depicted young youth and parent families, together completing pledge cards and returning these promised funds to the front altar of a local church. In essence, the invitation for youth to join parents in grown-up giving and taking ownership. The latter half of the phrase, "This do in remembrance of me" is shown on the offering table in front of the pulpit. This encouragement of parents to model giving themselves, and to involve their children in generous giving, certainly grounded and advanced giving in millions of families across 1960's America. This was a popular campaign slogan which proved to work well for the SBC. Image size is 14 inches by 18 inches. Manifest Record: unknownCollection
