This Paddington Bear was given as a Christmas gift to Alistair Smith.
He loved Paddington Bear and saw the Paddingtons in Hamleys on a pre-Christmas visit with his parents in October 1974 or 75. On Christmas morning Mr & Mrs Smith stood Paddington up on their front doorstep and rang the doorbell. When Alistair answered the door, he was overjoyed to find his own Paddington!
