"Dear Big Brother" I received your letter and I was Oh! So glad to hear from you.. I have been terribly worried about you "Big Brother", I heard that you were hurt, but not anyone seemed to ?? Know how badly. I was going to write every day, but you know how the days slip by, and I didn't get it written. I am going to write a long one this time to make up for the lost time. By your letter it sounded as if you didn't receive my last letter, but if you didn't get it you didn't miss much, because it was just full of foolishness as per usual. Oh Harry! Eddie has enlisted In the C.M.R's and is going to Hamilton Monday to get his suit. Oh, I don't know what I'll ever do. He signed up as nineteen but is only really sixteen, please don't mention that though because he would never forgive me if it became known. His father is going to try to get him off + I do wish he succeeds, of course that isn't being patriot Is it but he is SO young and I don't believe he would do any good if he did go, do you?. The battalion he enlisted in expects to leave for England in three weeks. Well I am almost forgetting to tell you about Bud. His arm is getting along just fine but it isn't perfectly straight yet and he won't try to (left) ([??]) lift anything with it yet. He hasn't been at all well the past week; been sick with bronchitis, but is getting along fine now. I am getting awfully lonesome and would love to see you soon Harry. When are you EVER coming over to see us? I believe that it is YOU Harry who is forgetting us. I know you are awfully lonely Harry, and you'll come whenever + as soon as you get the chance won't you? Because we all want to see you awfully bad. Well Harry I guess I will have to close now as my friend Maggie Wiley is wondering if I will EVER get through with Writing. She is reciting "Hands all round" to get me mixed All up. So good bye "Big Brother" dear until I see or hear from you. With heaps of love and kisses, your lonesome little sister Rhea P.S. Do you think it is right to feel bad about Eddie going? - Again Rhea.
