Dear Rhea,
I am going to break all records by writing a second letter the same week, but when one has such a cute cousin, why not?
I just wanted to tell you the news is confirmed and 5 of us leave for Niagara camp Tuesday Morning. I am quite tickled, as the other fellows happen to be the other fellows in the company and are my best friends in it.
I don't know yet of course when I can get off but you may count on seeing me the first night I get off, even if it is only for a little while.
The rest of the company I believe are going into barracks next week. The barracks will be some class - the students' residence at Victoria College in the University grounds, each room being much like an up-to-date apartment with fireplaces etc. The only disadvantage is that all must be in barracks by 9.30 p.m. which is RATHER early for us nighthawks, and also there will be sentry duty. Imagine me keeping sentry from 2 to 4 a.m. - lovely thought? But at least once a week a fellow can get late leave till midnight.
I am bringing over the prints of the snaps I took that day at your place. They are not very good I am afraid but they are at least pictures. So here's hoping to see you some night next week.
Harry.
P.S. you remember me saying people were good to me in the line of socks? I have received 2 more pairs this week. Clans?Transcriber
