Description

A collection of three original-format Sony Memory Sticks in 4MB (white/clear), 32MB (blue/purple), and 64MB (transparent purple) capacities. Launched by Sony in 1998, this proprietary flash memory format was designed to be a "digital bridge" between various Sony products, including Cyber-shot cameras, Handycam camcorders, and VAIO computers. These specific cards feature the original 10-pin connector and a physical "Lock" switch on the reverse side to prevent accidental data erasure. Historically, the 4MB card represents the earliest consumer capacity, capable of holding only a few high-resolution JPEGs from period cameras, while the 64MB "Expansion" card (often distinguished by its purple transparent casing) was a significant upgrade for users moving into the 3-megapixel era. Unlike modern SD cards, these utilize a long, stick-like form factor that was eventually phased out as devices became smaller.
