Description

This is a beautiful "Time Capsule" set of one of the most popular American cameras of the 1950s. While it looks like a professional Twin Lens Reflex (TLR), it is technically a "Pseudo-TLR"—the top lens doesn't help with focusing; it simply provides that massive, brilliant waist-level viewfinder that collectors love. This specific set is the early version (1949–early 50s), identifiable by the full "Argoflex Seventy-Five" name on the front plate; later models were shortened to just "Argus 75." The matching Argus 76 Flash Unit was designed to plug directly into the two-pin sockets on the side, and just like your Kodak units, it takes the large #5 or #25 glass bulbs.
