Description

This specialized flash unit was designed specifically for the Argus C-3, the famous American 35mm "Brick." It features a distinctive two-pin plug that mounts directly into the side of the C-3 body, utilizing the camera's internal synchronization. The unit is equipped with a large parabolic reflector designed for mid-sized "midget" bulbs (like the blue-coated M2 bulb shown here, which is tinted for color film balance). A standout feature of this model is the comprehensive "Argus C-3 Flash Guide" printed directly on the back of the reflector, providing photographers with instant exposure calculations based on film speed (ASA) and distance—an essential tool in the pre-automation era. This accessory is a key component for completing a period-correct Argus C-3 kit.
