Description

Released in early 2005, the PowerShot A520 was a highly popular entry in Canon's "A-series" line. It doubled the resolution of the older DC280 we just looked at, packing 4.0 Megapixels and a 4x optical zoom into a significantly smaller, more pocket-friendly body. Despite being a consumer camera, it offered "prosumer" features like full manual exposure controls and a dedicated mode dial for Aperture Priority (Av) and Shutter Priority (Tv). It utilized the DIGIC II image processor, which provided faster startup times and better color accuracy than previous generations. This specific unit (Serial No. 1022102538) shows some moderate surface wear, consistent with being a reliable family "travel cam" for many years.
