Description

The Kodak Disc 4000 was one of the first cameras in Kodak's ill-fated Disc format, introduced in 1982 as a successor to the 110 cartridge. The system used a rotating disc of 15 tiny negatives, making the camera remarkably flat and pocketable, - but the small negative size produced grainy, poor-quality enlargements that consumers quickly rejected. Disc film has been completely discontinued, making these cameras non-functional today, but they remain a fascinating footnote in photography history as one of Kodak's notable market miscalculations.
