WorkhorseDescription
The Kodak Duex is a distinctive, compact roll film camera made primarily of Bakelite. It features a unique "spiral-threaded" lens barrel that must be unscrewed and extended to its taking position before a photo can be snapped. It was designed to bridge the gap between a standard box camera and a more portable folding camera. It takes sixteen $4 \times 4.5\text{ cm}$ images on a roll of 620 film. The Art Deco styling of the box and the camera's minimalist "I" (Instant) and "B" (Bulb) shutter settings are typical of Kodak's consumer-focused wartime era production.Category
