This No. 2A Brownie Model C is a quintessential artifact of early 20th-century amateur photography. While it looks similar to the No. 2 Brownie, the "A" designation indicates it was built for the larger 116 film format, producing long, panoramic-style 2.5 by 4.25 inch negatives. It features a leatherette-covered aluminum body, a simple rotary shutter with "Instant" and "Time" settings, and three selectable aperture openings. The back of the camera (image DSC_0000-1656) is clearly embossed with the instruction: "USE FILM No. 116," which helps distinguish it from its 120-film siblings.
