IconicDescription
The Kodak Tourist II is the final evolution of the American folding camera. While the earlier Premo and Foldex models we logged were made of wood or heavy metal, the Tourist II utilizes a specialized plastic-like material called "Bakelite" for the top housing and a ruggedized "Zytel" nylon-based material for other components. It produces large 2.25 x 3.25 inch negatives on 620 film. This specific unit features the Kodet lens with a Flash Kodon shutter, offering apertures from f/12.5 to f/32. Its standout feature is the unique "shutter release" located on the camera's bed (the door) rather than the lens barrel, making it much easier to hold steady.Category
