The Maxxum 7D was the digital successor to the legendary Maxxum 7 film camera we logged earlier (Artifact 54). It was a pioneer in the industry, being the first DSLR to feature Body-Integrated Image Stabilization (marketed as "Anti-Shake" or AS), which allowed any lens attached to the camera to benefit from stabilization. Much like its film ancestor, it is famous for its "button-heavy" ergonomic design, placing physical dials for almost every major setting (exposure compensation, white balance, drive mode) on the exterior of the body to minimize menu-diving. This specific unit shows some "battle scars," with typical rubber grip degradation and some dust, but it remains a highly respected camera among CCD sensor enthusiasts for its film-like color rendition and superb handling.
