Description

The Miranda Sensorex is a masterpiece of Japanese industrial design, often called the "Swiss watch" of 1960s SLRs. It was incredibly advanced for its time, featuring TTL (Through-The-Lens) spot metering with a sensor built directly onto the back of the mirror. One of its most legendary features is its modular design; the pentaprism viewfinder is removable and can be swapped for a waist-level finder (note the "Miranda" plate on the front is part of the interchangeable prism). This unit is equipped with the top-tier Auto Miranda 50mm f/1.4 lens, known for its beautiful depth of field and metal construction. The "cross" pattern on the prism and the front-mounted shutter release (next to the lens) are classic Miranda hallmarks. While the company went bankrupt in the late 70s, their cameras remain highly collectible for their unique engineering and tactile quality.
