Description

This is the silver-finished "Nikomat" branded version of the FTn, intended specifically for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM). Functionally identical to the international "Nikkormat," the FTn was the most popular of the series, introducing the famous "Nikon Shuffle"—a semi-automatic indexing system where the photographer twists the lens aperture ring to its extremes to tell the camera the maximum aperture of the lens. This unit is in remarkably clean condition compared to the black FT previously cataloged, showcasing the durable satin chrome finish that was a hallmark of 1960s Nikon engineering. It features the same unique vertical-travel Copal Square metal shutter and lens-mount shutter speed ring.
