Description

This kit was a crucial accessory for the early "Automatic Land Camera" series (specifically models like the 100, 250, 350, and 450). These folding bellows cameras were excellent for general photography but couldn't focus closer than roughly 3.5 feet. The #581 kit solved this by providing a slip-on portrait lens for the main camera glass and a parallax-corrected viewfinder attachment. This allowed the photographer to get as close as 19 to 42 inches for tight headshots without cutting off the subject's forehead. The kit is remarkably complete, including the original grey plastic clamshell case, the instruction sheet, and the cardboard outer retail box.
