IconicDescription
The Rollei 35 was the smallest full-frame 35mm camera in the world at the time of its release. Designed by Heinz Waaske, it is famous for its unconventional layout: the hot shoe is on the bottom, and the film advance lever is on the top left. This "T" model features a 40mm f/3.5 Tessar lens made under license from Carl Zeiss. To keep the camera compact, the lens is collapsible; it must be extended and locked to take a photo, and the shutter must be cocked before the lens can be retracted. This specific unit was manufactured at the Rollei factory in Singapore.Category
