Description

The MVC-CD350 belongs to the legendary "CD Mavica" family—the follow-up to the floppy-disk-based Mavicas of the late 90s. This camera is a fascinating technological bridge; it wrote digital data directly to 8cm Mini CD-R/RW discs using an internal optical laser drive. This meant that in 2003, you could take your photos, finalize the disc in-camera, and immediately pop it into any computer's CD-ROM drive without a cable. It features "MPEG Movie VX" capabilities for recording short video clips and a 2.5-inch LCD. While the internal mechanical drive makes the camera bulky and a bit slow by modern standards, it remains a "holy grail" for collectors of weird digital history because of the sheer novelty of a camera that literally burns its own CDs.
