A vintage single-use (disposable) camera designed for aquatic and high-action environments. Manufactured by Vantage, the Waterworks II is encased in a permanent, pressure-sealed transparent polycarbonate housing that allows for operation at depths of up to 33 feet (approx. 10 meters). Unlike many entry-level underwater disposables of its era, this model includes a built-in electronic flash, significantly improving color rendition and clarity in the dim, blue-tinted light found beneath the water's surface. It typically comes pre-loaded with a 27-exposure roll of high-speed 35mm film (400 or 800 ISO) to compensate for movement and lower light levels. The camera features a large, oversized shutter button and a simplified viewfinder meant to be used while wearing a diving mask. Historically, it represents the era of specialized "destination" cameras sold at resorts and dive shops before the advent of digital action cameras like the GoPro.
