Description

The Yashica Mat-124 G is the final and most refined version of Yashica's legendary TLR line. Often cited as the "poor man's Rolleiflex," it earned that nickname by offering nearly identical image quality at a fraction of the price. The "G" stands for "Gold," referring to the gold-plated electrical contacts in the integrated CdS light meter. It features an excellent 4-element Yashinon lens and a crank-handle film advance that also cocks the shutter, allowing for fast operation. This specific unit is in beautiful condition, featuring the original lens hood on the taking lens. Because it can handle both 120 and 220 film (selectable via the pressure plate inside), it remains one of the most versatile and popular entry points into high-quality medium format photography today.
