Description

This quilt features 9 Star of Bethlehem blocks. Each block is made out of 200 diamond pieces. The quilt was likely made using new/purchased fabric. 8 of the 9 blocks are the same and the center block is different. The fabrics include a butterscotch stripe, 3 various lafayette blue floral prints, and a turkey red with yellow and red detailing. Between each block is a turkey red sashing with block polka dots. The binding is a true, applied binding with squared corners. Edge is straight single fold 1/8''. The back is a muslin. The entire quilt is hand-quilted using single, cotton thread. There are four colors of thread used, white, brown, and dark and light blue to match the block pattern. The Star of Bethlehem blocks include crosshatch quilting. The stitches measure about 7-9 stitches per inch.
