Description

Machine pieced and appliquéd. Hand quilted using a dark thread. 45 Basket block set on diagonal in stripe printed sash. There are blue triangles around all sides. The baskets are blue, yellow, or brown, and the background are those colors as well. The color scheme alternates from dark to light.

Anges Bagley Stokes made this quilt circa 1875. She made it in Lunenburg County, Virginia.
