This piece is the result of a class taken from Julia Pfaff (adjunct professor Virginia Commonwealth University, Individual Fellowship recipient Virginia Commission for the Arts 2004, former VQM BOD member, has a piece in the VQM permanent Collection) on surface design.
Whole cloth quilt “painted” and printed with Procion dyes. An air conditioning cover, water pipes and plastic grids were used for relief images.
