"Old Triangle" miniature quilt containing many fabric prints, including many double-pinks. The back was done much later and is a feed sack fabric.Context
Many of the smaller blocks of this miniature quilt were made and pieced by 14-year old Elinor Chrisman in 1895 in Rockingham Country, Virginia. There was both a Chrisman Post Office and a vineyard in Rockingham that could have connected to Elinor.
Later, Mary Harrold, the donor, purchased these pieces at auction and completed the quilt.Collection
