Pieced quilt with square blocks in diagonal rows. Blocks are set on point with alternating plain/square blocks. Arranged into a 6 x 6 grid. Colors alternate between dark and light plaid. There is a single border with two different fabrics on opposite sides. Fabrics in the wide outer boarders are composed of various plaids (same as blocks). The binding is 1/4 inch wide and is mostly back to front. The red and black stripped fabric on the borders is brought from the front to the back.
The quilt is entirely hand quilted with uneven 6 stitches per inch. There is a zig-zag/triangles design in the border and a grid/cross-hatching in the blocks.
The backing is made up of 3 pieces of homespun wool. The batting is a thick wool.
