Ralph L. Carden
Ralph L. Carden, 73, of
Quantico, died Friday at
the Potomac Hospital in
Woodbridge.
He is survived by his
wife, Lillian Carden;
three daugh daughters,
Yvonne Phythian of Richmond,
Sherrill Quigley of
Triangle and Veronica
Lockwood of Vallejo,
Calif.; and seven grand-children.
Mr. Carden, who
resided at 215 Broadway
Ave., Quantico, was a
member of the Dumfries
United Methodist Church
and a charter member of
the Quantico Lions Club.
Carden was also a
member of Masonic
Lodge 350, AF&AM where
he served as worshipful
master and also as a 32nd
degree Mason.
Funeral services were
scheduled for 2 p.m. today
at the Dumfries United
Methodist Church
followed by internment at
the Sunset Memorial
Gardens, Fredericksburg,
were made by the
Arrangements Cunningham-
Mountcastle
Funeral Home.
The family suggests
expressions of sympathy
be in the form of contributions
to the Dumfries
United Methodist Church
or to the Potomac
Hospital.
Laura Porter [14 Aug. 80]
Laura Catherine "Sis" Porter, 61, died Wednesday at
Potomac Hospital.
She is survived by eight brothers, Leon, Wilmer and Herbert
Porter of Dumfries; Daniel, Charles Claywood and Chester
Porter of Triangle; Carroll Porter of Manassas and Clarence
Porter of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sisters, Grace Close of
Dumfries, Margaret Wray and Juanita Smith of Triangle and
Mae Minor of Stafford; two aunts, several nieces and nephews
and other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Ames
Funeral Home in Manassas and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at
the Little Union Baptist Church, Dumfries. The Rev. W. Irving
Green will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Glynhaven Memory Gardens,
Falmouth.
Memorial contirbutions may be made to the Little Union
