Seorim F. Brown
Seorim F. Brown, 79, of Stafford
County died Saturday in Mary Washing-
ton Hospital.
He was a joiner at the Quantico Ma-
rine Corps Base for 32 years before he
retired. He was a member of Freder-
icksburg Baptist Church and its Cru-
sader Choir, the National Association of
Retired Federal Employees and record-
ing secretary of the Local Union No.
1078 of the United Brotherhood of Car-
penters & Joiners.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife,
Mrs. Myrtle M. Brown; one son, Seorim F. Brown Jr. of Fredericksburg; one
sister, Mrs. Josephine Murray of Fred-
ericksburg; two grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m.
today at Wheeler & Thompson Funeral
Home, with burial in Sunset Memorial
Gardens. The Rev. J. Howard Cates of-
ficiated.
Pallbearers were Bernard L. Wine,
William H. Bass, Donald C. Leistra, Ira
D. Grinnan, Arthur P. Snellings and
Robin S. Gushurst. Honorary pallbear-
ers were members of the NARFE and
Local Union 1078.

Frank Potter [13 Nov. 80]
Frank A. Potter, 81, of Dumfries died Wednesday at
Potomac Hospital.
He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Cooper of Dum-
fries; one son, William T. Potter of Dumfries; three grand-
children; and one sister, Arda Klaus of Maryland.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 this evening and from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Cunningham-Mountcastle Funeral
Home Woodbridge where services will take place Saturday at
11 a.m. Burial will be at Dumfries Cemetery.

Homer Chandler
Homer Moses Chandler, 78, of Main Street, Dumfries, died
Monday at Potomac Hospital.
Mr. Chandler was born in Norfolk, Neb., in 1902, the son of
Fred Henry and Altabell Carwin Chandler.
He is survived by his current wife, Mildred Estelle of
Dumfries; his first wife, Emmeline of Appomatox; two
daughters, Virginia Lee Wilson of Burkville and Nancy Diane Roberts of Saginaw Mich.; one stepdaugher, Joanne
Elizabeth Roop of Dumfries; three sons, Homer Vincent of Vienna, John Henry of Appomattax and Richard C. of Lyn-
chburg; one stepson, Richard Brawley of Washington, D.C.,
two sisters, Addi Schutt of Petersburg and Alice Herzig of Georgia; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Chandler started the Community Barbership, the first barbershop in Dumfries.
Friends may call at the Elkins Funeral Home in
Fredericksburg until 9 this evening. The Rev. Charles Blalock
of Dumfries United Methodist Church will conduct services
