The Idylwild Tourist Home had fountains, patios, koi ponds, and gardens, and was regarded as the nicest tourist home in Dumfries. Owned by Vanetta and Leary Cato, they hosted many weddings and parties at the home before it was demolished in the 1970s and replaced with the Dumfries Post Office, which still stands today.Collection
