Brawner of Dumfries died Friday, March 13, at Cape Coral, Fla., where he and his wife had been visiting their daughter since Christmas. He is survived by his wife, Edith Merchant Brawner; a daughter, Mrs. Jocelyn B. Gary of Cape Coral, Fla.; one brother, Warfield Brawner of Dumfries; one sister, Mrs. Genevieve Garrison of Dumfries and one granddaughter, Debra Lyn Gary. The family received friends Wednesday, March 18, at the Baker Funeral Home, 314 N. West Street, Manassas. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 19, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Philip Hunsicker of the Dumfries United Methodist Church at the Baker Funeral Home. Burial will be at Manassas Cemetery. George Buckner George Buckner, 75, of Dumfries died March 11 at Veterans Hospital. Washington, D.C. He was a retired cement finisher, a member and trustee of Little Union Baptist Church and a member of American Legion Post 114. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Buckner; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Nickens; two brothers, John and Turner Buckner; several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were conducted Mrarch 15 by the Rev. W. Ervin Green at the Little Union Baptist Church. Burial was at Hardin's Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Ames Funeral Home, Manassas. brills, Md.; four brothers, Robert, Thomas, Harry and Floyd Byrns; four sisters, Mrs. Grace Reno, Mrs. Pearl Bragg, Mrs. Thelma Bryant and Hazel Wilder; his father, Howard Hamilton Byrns and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, March 14, at Baker Funeral Home, Manassas, Burial was at Catlett Cemetery. Mary Davis Mary Frances Davis, 81, of Stafford died March 13 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg. She was born in Coles District the daughter of the late Mary Ann Posey Russell and Jim Russell. She was the widow of John Davis and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Davis, four grandsons and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted March 16 at the Cunningham- Mountcastle Funeral Home, Woodbridge, by the Rev. William C. Blewitt. Burial was a Dumfries Cemetery. Bessie Tubbs Bessie Rowena Tubbs of 320 N. West Street, Manassas, died Tuesday, March 10, at Prince William Hospital. She was the widow of Herbert Lee Tubbs and is survived by he granddaughter, Mrs. Louise Mecca of McLean; five great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Thursday, March 12, at Baker Funeral Home, Manassas. Burial was at Cannon Branch Cemetery. Ben Weaver Services Held Funeral services were held Monday noon for Bennie O. Weaver, 57, of Quantico, who died last Wednesday of a heart attack at Tidewater Memorial Hospital, Tappahannock, Va. Weaver, a chief warrant officer in the Marine Corps Reserve, was owner of the Boat House in Triangle. Prior to this, he was in the barbering business in Quantico. Weaver was on active duty with the Marine Corps from 1943 to 1945, serving in the Pacific. Recalled from the active reserves in 1950, he was an instructor at the Marine Aviation Technical School, until 1953. At the time of his death, Weaver was serving in a active reserve unit, Marine Fighter Squadron 321, attached to the Marine Air Reserve Training Detachment. An active Mason, he was a member of the Shrine and the Sojourners, a Masonic organization for Marines. He was also a member of the electoral school board of Prince William County. Weaver leaves his wife, Elizabeth, of the home, and four sisters, Mrs. Johnny Venter of conway, S.C.,, Mrs. Buford Williams of Winter Park, Fla., and Mrs. Walter Hill and Mrs. Defoe Foxworth, both of Georgetown, S.C. A military burial with full honors was held at Arlington National Cemetery.
