Paul N. Taylor
dies at home
Paul N. Taylor, a
retired Marine Corps
major who served as head
of Prince William
County's building inspections
division for 10
years, died Saturday at
his home, 18353 Sharon
Road, Triangle, after a
long illness.
Taylor became
associated with the county
in 1963 after retiring from
the Marine Corps, and
served as building inspections
head until 1973.
He entered the Marine
Corps in 1943, and served
with the Fourth Marine
Division at Saipan, Tinian
and Iwo Jima during
World War II. He also had
duty in Korea, Okinawa
and Japan. He was
maintenance officer at the
Marine Corps Base in
Quantico for 11 years.
Major Taylor is survived
by his wife, Mary
Taylor; two daughters,
Beth Schreiner of Annadale
and Paula of the
home address; three
brothers, Hale of McLean,
Everett of Elkins, W. Va.,
and Robert of Moundsville,
W. Va.; one sister,
Mary Steele of Chandler,
Ariz; and three grandchildren.
The family suggested
that expressions of
sympathy may be in the
form of contributions to
the Woodbridge Adult
Activities Center, Box 52,
Woodbridge, Va. 22191.

Services for Richard Conwell
Richard Simpson Cornwell
of 18623 Triangle Street,
Triangle, died Aug. 26 at
Johnston-Willis Hospital in
Richmond.
He is survived by his wife,
Elvia Tolson Cornwell; sons,
Richard, Triangle, Donald,
Woodbridge; daughters, Mrs.
Delores Hogan, Camp Lejeune,
N , C . ; a brother, Elmer
Cornwell of Arlington, a sister,
Mrs. Edith Ways, Brentwood,
Md. and two grandchildren.
He had been with the license
agent of the Division of Motor
Vechiles for 14 years at the
time of his death. He was also
part owner of the Belmont
Marina, Neabsco Creek Past
President, 1961-62 and was a
member of the Quantico Lions
Club, Triangle Baptist Church,
Woodbridge Moose and was
treasurer of Flotilla 14-1 of the
Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Funeral services were held at
the Triangle Baptist Church
August 28. Rev. Bob Estes
conducted the services.
Arrangements were by
Cunningham-Mountcastle
Funeral Home, Interment was
in Stonewall Memory Gardens,
Manassas.
Albert Saylor Sr.
Albert Kidd Saylor Sr., of
210 Broadway Street,
Quantico, died Aug. 26 at
Mary Washington Hospital,
Fredericksburg.
He had been a resident of
Quantico since 1932. At the
time of his death he was
retired from the electrical
business, He saw military
service in World War I.
He is survived by his wife,
Mary C. Saylor, a son, Albert
K. Saylor Jr.; sisters, Mrs.
Carrie Dancer, Aliquippa, Pa.
and Mrs. Blanche Dunlap,
Fairmont, W.Va., and two
grandchildren.
Services were conducted by
Rev. Leroy Brown of the
Dumfries United Methodist
Church at the Cunningham-
Mountcaste Funeral Home
Aug. 30. Interment was in
Dumfries Cemetery.

Funeral services were
conducted Aug. 27 by Rev.
Bob Estes of Triangle Baptist
Church for Lawrence William
Mason of Dumfries.
Mason who was
self-employed is survived by a
sister, Mrs. Vivian Helsel of
Oxon Hill, Md. During World
War II he served in the Army.
Interment was in the
Culpeper National Cemetery,
