Biography
Kathi Cheyenne Jensen has loved nature and the beauty of this world since she was a young child. At a young age, she rode her horse among the wild animals of the rugged Utah mountains where she grew up. Her passion to capture the natural beauty of mother earth makes her work life-affirming. She captures the raw essence of nature, combining light and shadow, and incorporates the blend of colors both subtle and bold that mother nature displays in her grandeur. Her work with wildlife and the animals that coexist with us is intimate and detailed, taking the viewer into their world.
Kathi now lives in the Sawtooth mountain range of Idaho, where the deer and antelope play in her backyard. She is close to many areas that are wonders of the world and spends most of her time photographing in the Tetons, the Sawtooth mountains, the sacred grounds of the Navajo in southern Utah, as well as many other National Parks like Zions, Bryce, Glacier, and Yosemite. She is well-traveled, and the oceans and coastlines still call to her. Because of the diverse body of her work, many from all parts of the country are touched by her pieces.
