Biography
Ascian could be referred to as a globetrotter, having in lived in Lebanon, Morocco, and taken several cross continental trips throughout his life. In the 1960s he settled in Washington D.C., where his art career took off. His limited edition silk-screen prints, etchings, stone lithographs, and paintings, were sold in galleries around the country and were accessioned into many museum's collections, such as the National Gallery in Washington D.C.
In the late 1980s, the chemicals Ascian used in the silkscreen printing process poisoned him, and he moved on to other art mediums. He also became fascinated by Egyptology, and has spent the last couple of decades deciphering ancient Egyptian symbols.
