Biography
Born in Santa Catalina Island, California, in 1953, Lucía Maya is a Mexican painter, sculptor and lithographer. She began her studies at the University of Guadalajara, Spain in 1971 and, apart from short stays in New Jersey, Argentina and Europe, she has lived in Spain since 1974. Her first exhibition was held at the Degollado Theatre. Her work has also been displayed at the Ronna and Eric Hoffman Gallery of Contemporary Art, Portland, Oregon, the Puerto Rico Museum of Contemporary Art, and the National Museum of Tequila in 2015.
