Biography
Sylvia Medina has always loved the outdoors and animals. She worked as an Environmental Engineer for many years before she sold her business. While she raised her twins and youngest son, Medina wrote environmental stories about endangered species and habitat issues. She often worked with NGOs or non-profits about a specific animal they are committed to, and would travel to many locations such as Botswana, South Africa, and Thailand. During this time, she started trying to take photos with an iPhone – not quite the same. This is when Medina decided to learn photography. She is fortunate enough to live close to Yellowstone and Teton National Park which has made her journey to learn photography even more exciting. In addition to photography, writing books, and environmental involvement, Medina is also a jeweler.
