Biography
Born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Whitaker earned a degree in English from the University of Maryland in Munich, Germany. She relocated to Idaho Falls in 1993 to work for the Department of Energy. Having been “rehabilitated” following a 30-year career spent mostly writing, she now enjoys doing what she loves-painting, playing music, traveling, playing with grandchildren, and riding her bike. Through art workshops in Italy, Utah and Idaho, and stubbornness, she has developed her artistic skills, “making a step or two forward, but only after more than a few precipitous steps back!”
