Biography
After earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in printmaking from Brigham Young University-Idaho, Bonterno earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is currently a part-time faculty instructor at BYU-Idaho.
Bonterno’s inspiration is derived from nineteenth century American art and he "approaches his portraits with a specific goal in mind: portray the feelings of the sitters. It is very much about the spirit of the people, something that does not dissipate or vary with time.”
