Biography
Beverly Macaulay was born July 7, 1938, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. After growing up between Pennsylvania and Ohio, she earned degrees from Stephens College (Missouri) with an associate’s degree in Fine Art and from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture & Design.
After a brief career as an elementary and secondary art educator, Macaulay was employed with various Department of Energy sites throughout the country including Allied Chemical, Exxon and Westinghouse. Once retired, Macaulay resumed her art pursuits, slowly at first before the “passion for painting” returned. She enjoyed working with several mediums including oils, watercolors, charcoal, and colored pencil.
