Biography
Carson Thompson is a painter whose work is deeply influenced by the landscapes of the American West. Born in Idaho and raised in Utah, he developed an early appreciation for open spaces, agricultural land, and mountainous terrain. As a teenager, frequent visits to art galleries and museums sparked a lasting interest in visual art. His artistic trajectory shifted decisively when he began studying under David Dibble, who introduced him to plein air painting and a disciplined, observational approach to landscape.
Carson now lives and works in Logan, Utah, where he continues to explore themes of place, labor, and land through painting.
