Biography
Born in Ogden, Utah, Rosemary Ravsten was raised in Sugar City, Idaho where she graduated from Sugar Salem High School. She attended Ricks College and Utah State University where she earned a BS degree in Fashion Design with a minor in art.
After marrying Milton Ravsten, they moved to Ridgecrest, California where she belonged to the Sierra Arts Guild. While there she participated in the annual juried “Fabric Fantasy Festival” in Old Town San Diego where she received several awards for her wearable art.
Ravsten exhibited her work in solo shows in Ridgecrest and Salt Lake City. She belonged to an art quilting group and owned a fabric store in Rexburg. She also taught art as a volunteer in classrooms in Ridgecrest and Rexburg. Ravsten showed and sold her wearable art for thirty years in California, Wyoming, Utah and Idaho.
