Biography
Carla Louise Shurtliff Jimison, of Michigan as well as Salt Lake City, Provo, and Mount Pleasant, Utah, attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. While there, she perfected a realist approach as an oil painter and printmaker, becoming versed in the expression of figurative themes, interior views, and still-life subjects related to the visionary-spiritualist themes for which she is better known today. She currently teaches at Brigham Young University-Idaho.
